Description
These are also Grandfather's chips. I have another listing right now that shows a different set of chips in a lovely leather and wood case. These were in it. But, they are now in their own boxes and a different set of chips are in the case. These differ slightly from others listed in that the boxes do not say "U.S. Anchor." It stops with U.S. which probably dates them fairly accurately. They are most likely older than those marked "Anchor" but that's a guess. Adding to a company name is more common than deleting a reference, hence my guess. I do know that Grandfather died in 1957 and that his poker table is from the 1920s-30s, so odds are good that these are fairly early for the brand. There are about 260 chips. They're in great shape since, really, they don't much wear out, do they? Boxes have seen some action, but they're intact even if annotated from some card-playing event.
