Vintage ladies fitted compact carryall.  It's burnished gold-tone basket-weave design on the lid.  It has a thin gold-tone chain.  Appears unused.
Dual compartments.  The top compartment has a mirror, a puff that appears unused, and a powder sifter.  No powder residue is inside.  The bottom compartment is for cigarettes.  There are a couple of metal loops on the right side for a lipstick tube.
Measures 2-3/8" x 2-7/8".
In very good condition for its age.  Closures work fine. The only defect we could find are very minor scratches on the bottom.
These carryalls emerged in the late 1930s and remained very popular through the '40s and '50s.
Even unbranded (as this one is) these vintage carryalls have a current market value of .00 to over .00 according to our reference book.
