Vintage Circa 1945 Black Trio-Ette’ Makeup Compact Made In Detroit By House Of Plate’. This compact is made of an early
plastic known as Terite. With a lovely raised Rose Design.
This is a triple based compact, one side holding powder, a puff
and a sifter. The brand name on the puff is missing. Obviously
well used for there isn’t any powder left. The inside mirror has 3
cracks and a dent. Pictured!
On the other side the mirror is in Very Good Condition. As is also the inside mirror. No cracks. The puff is missing but there is plenty
Of rouge left. The lipstick is fine and appears to be well used.
When the Company launched this Compact in 1945 they said;
“The amazing new triple compact that blows makeup fatigue
and bag fumbling.”
Still a great idea today!
