Vintage c.1930's Mondaine of New York Compact with Enamel and Portrait on Front

Description

This is a Beautiful Mondaine of New York c.1930's Compact with a Black Enamel Case and Raised Portrait Inset.  The case opens and closes smoothly as do the cosmetic compartments inside.  The compact is complete with the powder puff, Face Rouge Face Powder and Lipstick (all have been used) and a mirrror.  The exterior has a aged brass frame, hinge and closure surrounding the enamel case.  The inside is a brass or gold tone metal.  The lipstick lid is marked MONDAINE.  The compact is 3 inches across side to side and 3-1/4 inches front to back (including the hinge and closure).
Condition: The compact has scratches on the front and back from use but just a few minor scratches on the portrait.  The exterior metal frame, hinge and closure button are aged.  There is one tiny spot 1/8 inch or less of green tarnish that will need to be cleaned off and sealed (see the last photo).  On the inside the metal is a little spotty, looks like the metal finish is starting to come off or turn color.  This item is sold as-is please ask all questions before purchasing.
