Rare MORTENS STUDIO Durostone Framed 3-D Horse Plaster/Ceramic Medium over Wire Skeleton
This gorgeous Mortens Studio Framed 3-D horse is rare and hard to find. Mortens Studio had a unique technique for making their figurines and other items - they used a combination of plaster and ceramic, over a frame of wire.  Because of this, they rarely survived without chips or damage.
There are no repairs to this item, just a small chip to right ear tip and right rear hoof.  Glaze chip on right front hoof. Discoloration on upper left part of frame, which doesn't appear in my photo. Impressed on side of frame is "C. By The Mortens Studio".  Sticker on back reads, "Durostone, Product of The Mortens Studio".
Item measures approx. 7" x 8 1/4".
