    Description

This is a "Professional Blackjack Dealer Shoe" with discard tray made by Excalibur Electronics.
Also included are five decks of casino cards, not original to the set, that were briefly used in actual casino play.
PLEASE NOTE: The box states that the set originally included the shoe with roller, discard tray, two decks of cards, and a cut card (used to trigger a shuffle of the decks).  Although the company name includes "Electronics" there is no electronic aspect to this set; the shoe provides for easy, professional dealing via the shoe.  As found, the cut card and original card decks were not present. The offering of not two, but five professional casino decks, should provide equal and likely better performance than the originals.  One alternative for a "cut card" is to simply used a card from different deck with a distinctively different colored back.
The box states that the tray (and I assume the panels of the shoe) is made from "black wood".  The shoe has a smooth metal panel and the heavy metal roller provides smooth operation.
Included in the listing are five decks of "Aristocrat" professional casino poker sized decks, from the Western Village Casino in Sparks, Nevada, owned and operated by the Peppermill, which has its main casino in nearby Reno.  The Aristocrat brand is made by the US Playing Card Company, Cincinnati, Ohio.  All of the decks were used briefly in actual casino play.  Note that during the 2020 pandemic, due to social distancing considerations at the modest sized Western Village, the small pit of live table games was removed, and replaced with slot machines.  I inquired about future gaming, and was told that it was likely that live gaming would likely not be returning to the Western Village casino, so these decks could potentially become collectible due to stopping of production.
Although the shoe holds four decks, only two were provided with the original set, so with this offering you will be able to use a full four deck shoe with matching casino logos.  Each deck was used briefly in actual casino play, and then "canceled" for complementary distribution by the hotel front desk.  There are various methods of cancellation, including corner cutting, drilling, or edge marking.  At this casino, the cancellation method was corner cutting and diagonally opposed corners, as seen in a couple of the photos.
You can read about the attributes of the set on the closeup photos of the box panels.  There is an original non-barcoded price sticker from Bed, Bath, and Beyond.  I do not know the implications of that for the age of the set.  I purchased the shoe from an estate and, as found, the price had already been written over with a black marker.
    Condition
The shoe, slide / roller, and discard tray are in excellent condition, and the shoe is in excellent working condition.  I was able to deal the cards easily in the manner you see in a casino, but I found I was not able to deal as quickly or smoothly as a professional dealer so I think it takes a bit of practice to hone your skills in that regard if you do not already have that expertise.
As noted above the cards have seen careful handling and rather minimal use in casino play before being canceled and re-sealed for distribution.  The purple backed decks with matching Western Village logo are still re-sealed from the casino.  The fifth deck has the same background color and pattern but with a different style of the casino's logo.  I opened the seal so that I could test the operation of the shoe.  The cards are in the same excellent condition as when I opened them, other than having carefully cut the seal with a razor knife.
