    Description

HTF CAMBRIDGE GLASS CAPRICE MOONLIGHT BLUE # 50 8-1/2” SQUARE 4 FOOTED BOWL
This piece was made by the Cambridge Glass Company, formerly of Cambridge, Ohio and is part of their Caprice pattern line.
This is a gorgeous piece of high quality hand-made and American made pressed elegant glass.
It is made in a pale blue colored glass that Cambridge called “Moonlight Blue”.
Specifically, this is the Cambridge Glass Caprice Pattern # 50 8-1/2 in. Square 4 Ftd Bowl.
This piece is pictured on Page 110 of the book
    Cambridge Caprice
edited by Mark Nye for the National Cambridge Collectors Inc.
According to this book this piece was produced by Cambridge Glass during the period from 1936 to 1945.
This piece has been in my personal collection since the early 1980s.
I am in the process of selling off this collection that at one time consisted of over 600 unique pieces of Caprice.
A beautiful piece of elegant glass!
I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability.
Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color.
However, do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or with requests for additional pictures.
I will get back to you as soon as I am able.
I want your transaction with me to be exactly the way I want mine to be when I am the buyer.
    Age and Condition
The piece dates to circa 1936-1945.
It is in excellent original condition.
Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item.
There are no chips, repairs, cracks or hairlines.
I do see a couple very minor straw marks or tool marks to the outside of the bowl.
These are not damage but a common by-product of the manufacturing process on pressed glass pieces of this era.
There are some very light signs of wear to the inside bottom of the bowl, consistent with a piece of glass of this age.
I also feel a very minor amount of roughness or a very tiny flea bite to the mold seam on one of the toes.
Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is.
Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece.
It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo.
    Approximate Dimensions
About 8.75” (21.3 cm) square and sits about 4.5” (11.4 cm) off the table.
    Approximate Weight
    About 2 pounds 6.25 ounces (1.084 kilograms).
    SALES TAX
I am required to charge 6.5% Ohio State Sales Tax on all purchases shipped to an address within the State of Ohio.
