This retro Evans compact/clock is just awesome!  (1940s).  It has a wind-up watch clock (under the mirror) that does work sometimes.  I heard it ticking now and again but whether or not it keeps accurate time is not known since it's about 70-some years old.
The outside is in good vintage condition.  The mirror is just fine and the push-button to open it works well. There is no puff.
Now at the risk of sounding crazy, there seems to be an anomaly or irregularity in the last picture.  Perhaps I watch too many paranormal TV shows (such as "Possessed Possessions") but I saw it when I was taking that picture and I saw it again when I re-sized it.  There seems to be a black shadow with a skeletal face in the middle --  Twilight Zone music here.   Either my house is haunted or maybe it is the former owner of the compact.  Anyway, it does not seem like it belongs in the picture.  You decide.
A very unique (and maybe haunted) and unusual vintage clock/compact.  An awesome, rare collectible.  Something you don't find everyday.
