    Description

    ELIZABETH ARDEN~   TWIST TURN-PROPELS-POWDER~ COMPACT ~VINTAGE~ GOLD TONE
    Made in Switzerland for London, New York, and Paris,  to resemble a watch.  The crown button on the right side turns the metal sifter.  The reverse has a lift-up tab used to twist open the back, which can then be filled with powder.  Once open, there is a silver tone container, turn down  to your palm and tap the compact to drop it into you hand.  There is something dried in the center of the powder container, left as is.  The spring on the back of the lid shows some roughness of old metal.  This has never had powder in it.  The mirror is clear and bright.  If there was a puff, it is missing.  Fabulous design, the bottom is overlapping feather.  It appears that this compact was burnished and the engraving reveals the gold color. Size 3 inches x 1/2 inch.  Vintage compact in very good condition.
