Description
Start of international airmail service from Costa Rica:  March 11, 1930 first flight cover to Guatemala. Muller 16, 1000 points.   AAMC groups all  mail sent northward along FAM 8 route into one group, F8-27.
Authorities disagree on the volume of mail carried, but it was, undoubtedly, small.   Muller states 161 covers were carried to Guatemala.  AAMC,  on the other hand, suggests that only 300 covers were sent to all FAM8 points north.  If this is correct, numbers shown in Muller should be adjusted down.
