The "Ecridor XS" is an abbreviation of eXtra Small. It measures only 96 mm, which is 30 mm shorter that the traditional Ecridor, so they can easily fit into your handbag or pocket. It represents the smallest elegant jewel of Caran d'Ache's writing instruments.

"Maya" Silver-Plated / Rhodium Coated Mechanical Pencil
features Silver-plated and rhodium coated hexagonal body and trims with "Maya" engraving. Silver-plated and rhodium coated flexible clip. Push button mechanism with "CdA" identification on the push button. Eraser under the push button. Available in 0.5mm leads. Each pencil comes in a case.
Rhodium is a precious metal of the platinum family which is more valuable than gold. And, unlike silver, it never tarnishes.
I am assisting with an estate and the gentleman had quite a few mechanical pencils.  There is a lot more to come.  My description of the pen is to the best of my knowledge and investigative prowess.  This is the only mechanical pencil I could fine that Caran D'Ache makes that meets the description.  The box states that it is a Ecridor  XS  p-mine MAYA Rhode'
This mechanical pencil definitely has the mayan type engraving on it.
The mechanical pencil is in very good shape and advances lead as it should.  I do not believe it was used much.
I am starting the auction at what I believe to be a fair price.
