    Description

CAMBRIDGE GLASS CAPRICE MOCHA # 300 6 OZ LOW SHERBET STEM ELEGANT
This piece was made by the Cambridge Glass Company, formerly of Cambridge, Ohio and is part of their “Caprice” pattern line.
This bowl on this one is made with a light amber color of glass that Cambridge called
    “Mocha”.
The stem and foot are crystal or clear colored glass.
This has been part of my personal collection since the 1980s.
I am in the process of selling off this collection that at one time consisted of over 600 unique pieces of Caprice.
This is a high quality hand-made and American made piece of elegant glass.
The colored bowl is blown, the stem is pressed and the foot is cast.
All three pieces are then assembled into the piece of stemware while the glass is hot.
Specifically this is the Caprice Pattern # 300 6 oz. Low Sherbet.
It is pictured on page 142 of the book
    Cambridge Caprice
edited by Mark Nye for the National Cambridge Collectors Inc. and according to this book was made in the 1936 -1957 period.
    A beautiful example!
I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability.
Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color.
However, do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or with requests for additional pictures.
I will get back to you as soon as I am able.
I want your transaction with me to be exactly the way I want mine to be when I am the buyer.
    Age and Condition
The piece dates to circa 1936 - 1957.
A few words about hand-made glass:
Since each piece is individually hand-made there may be slight differences between pieces in terms of height, weight, color and symmetry.
There may also be some minor factory blemishes created in the process of making the glass such as tool marks, straw marks, acid runs as well as bubbles, tiny stones and tiny black ash specs internal to the glass.
None of these will be mentioned unless I notice them and none of these are in any way considered damage.
This piece is in excellent mint original condition.
Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item.
There are no chips, flea bites, repairs, cracks or hairlines to the glass.
Basically, the glass is in perfect condition.
Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is.
Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece.
It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo.
    Approximate Dimensions
About 3.75” (9.5 cm) in diameter and sits about 4.25” (10.8 cm) off the table.
    Approximate Weight
    About 4.875 ounces (139 grams).
