  • Condition: Refurbished, with new 6 ft 3-wire power cord and 6-ft 16-2 SJOOW audio cable.Bench tested for receive audio, distortion, and transmit level.Volume control and 'TALK' switch replaced where necessary, new weather seals on both.I have been repairing-refurbishing these units since 1980...you can buy with confidence that they are as close to 'factory-new' as it is possible to make them.This is an 'A' 'C' unit.The A indicates a 'CALL' button to send out an alert tone to other units in the system. The C denotes a 'MASTER' unit that controls the LISTEN-SEND function of a 'SLAVE' unit.

    The C denotes a 'MASTER' unit that controls the LISTEN-SEND function of a 'SLAVE' unit.
    The -4 indicates an 'Extreme temperature' unit, 50 F to + 150F.
    Series 3 ( or C) units use a printed circuit board in place of earlier point-to-point wiring.  Is it better ? It is certainly better than the 'B' series which were susceptible to vibration damage due to inadequate support of the output transistor heat sink assembly.  The 'C' series has an additional support bracket for the heat sink.
